Account Manager

We currently have an opening for our full-time account manager position. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience selling craft beer and would like to have a big impact on the self-distribution model. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who understands how to effectively manage a large account portfolio and is familiar with the Chicagoland craft beer market. This position reports directly to our Director of Distribution and is largely remote with only 6-8 hours per week scheduled at the brewery.

Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist our distribution manager in coordinating deliveries to accounts

  • Weekly meetings with our distribution manager and operations manager

  • A strong focus on communication not only with accounts, but also within the organization

  • In-depth knowledge of general craft beer, the local market and industry, and a willingness to gain in-depth knowledge of Phase Three and our products

  • Establish new account relationships in the Chicagoland, Central Illinois and Madison/Milwaukee areas

  • Maintain previously created account relationships in the Chicagoland, Central Illinois and Madison/Milwaukee areas

  • Daily interaction with Beer30 brewery management software for inventory and invoice management

  • Access to a well-maintained vehicle to enable daily travel to accounts. Mileage will be reimbursed.

  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license

  • Participation in local and out-of-state beer festivals and local account events

  • Able to lift 50 pounds at chest height and move and lift 165 pound drums at waist height

  • Must have a flexible schedule, work full time 40-45 hours per week with potential for some nights and weekends

Our compensation package includes a base salary of $45,000 to $50,000 depending on experience plus 2% commission. In addition, this position will receive mileage reimbursement, a food and beverage expense account, a monthly cell phone allowance, and a work-issued laptop.
