In her new role, Nicki takes responsibility for the day-to-day management of the new office and her team of 28 people, ensuring the continued delivery of Alcedo’s award-winning portfolio of personal care, support and nursing services to clients of all ages. the region.
She will focus on working with the team to provide an exceptional level of care for clients who wish to remain independent in their own home, working with each on an individual basis to provide a package of care that meets their particular needs and in contacting their next of kin to provide peace of mind in these often uncertain times.
She will also look after the team of employees by overseeing everything from coordinating weekly rotations, days off and annual leave to ongoing staff training, personal development and career progression and will work with the broader management team to help the company achieve its expansion plans for the region. .
Well qualified for a career in care, Nicki’s two previous roles were in the more specialized area of ââmental health, supporting people with a mental health diagnosis who suffered from addiction, poverty and / or homelessness and who needed access to services and financial support to meet their needs and improve their quality of life.

Nicki, 38, holds a BA (Hons) in Health and Social Welfare, NVQ3 in Child Care and Education, and a Basic Diploma in Community Youth Work. She lives in Freckleton, near Preston, with her fiance Chris and their five children, and when not working she enjoys going out and spending time with the children.
